The starting place is a pull-out on the left hand side on Little Tujunga Canyon Rd, right after Osborne turns into Little T. Get off the 210 at Osborne off-ramp, make a left on Foothill and another left at Osborne and follow that to the trailhead that you won't recognize until we show it to you. If you get to the National forest sign, you went too far. We are parking before we enter the Adventure Pass zone.
Take the 101 out of the SFV northbound towards Westlake Village,
exiting at Westlake Blvd. Go north on Westlake Blvd for about four miles,
turning right onto Lang Ranch Parkway. Follow Lang Ranch Parkway about a mile
and park at the Albertson Fire Road trail head just before the road makes a
sharp left turn.
Aliso Canyon
Exit the 118 Fwy at either Balboa or Reseda Blvd in the Granada Hills area.
Turn North to Rinaldi Street.
The trailhead is just West of Zelzah Ave on the North side of Rinaldi between
Balboa and Reseda.
Ahmanson Ranch - Las Virgenes Canyon Entrance
Take the 101 Fwy West from the SFV and exit at Las Virgenes Rd in Calabasas.
Turn north and go all the way to the trailhead at the end of Las Virgenes.
Ahmanson Ranch - Vanowen Entrance
Take the 101 FW west to Valley Circle Blvd.
Turn north and go to Vanowen Street. Turn left.
Trail head is located approximately 1 block west of Valley Circle Blvd. on the south side of the street.
Ahmanson Ranch - Victory Blvd. Entrance
Take the 101 Freeway to the Valley Circle exit.
Turn north and go to Victory Blvd.
Turn west and proceed to the entrance at the end of the street.
From the SFV, take the 210 Fwy East to Angeles Crest Hwy in La Canada Flintridge.
Turn left onto Angeles Crest Hwy, go about ½ mile and park on the right side of the street.
We usually meet there and caravan to the start of the run.
Take the 210 Fwy East and exit at Berkshire Pl in La Canada Flintridge.
Turn left under the freeway and then left again up the hill toward JPL.
Go about 1.5 miles and turn right into the park.
Follow the signs to the Ranger Station.
Or
you can take the 134 Fwy to the 210 North.
Also exit on Berkshire Pl and turn right.
Make an immediate left up the hill.
Birmingham High School
Take the 101 Fwy and exit at Balboa Blvd in Encino.
Go North on Balboa.
Turn left on Victory Blvd.
Turn right into the parking lot off Victory.
Exit the 101 Fwy at Reseda Blvd in Tarzana.
Head South and keep going past Ventura Blvd for about 2 miles.
The trailhead is at a strip of dirt parking on the left side of the street across from the Braemar Country Club.
Exit the 101 Fwy. at Las Virgenes.
Go south over the Freeway.
Trailhead is just north of the Mobil Station on the east side of Las Virgenes.
Park in the dirt parking lot.
Trail head is about 100 yards from the parking.
Take the 101 Fwy exit at Cheseboro Canyon in Agoura Hills.
Turn north off the freeway and follow the road to the first stop sign.
Turn right and proceed across the one-lane bridge.
The parking lot entrance is on the right.
Follow the driveway all the way back to the dirt parking area at the trailhead.
Take the 101 Fwy and exit at Las Virgenes
Head toward the ocean/Malibu Creek.
Turn right at the light at Lost Hills Rd.
The park is 1/2 block down on the left.
Take Kanan Rd to Mulholland Hwy, turn west on Mulholland.
Bear to the left where Encinal Canyon Rd and Mulholland split.
Continue on Encinal to the
Backbone trail crossing. This will be
3.2 miles
from Kanan, just a little past the entrance to Malibu Country Club.
Park on the shoulder of Encinal
Canyon Rd, off the pavement by the
road signs
showing a hiker and a fire truck.
Parking is very limited so please carpool.
From the Valley:
Take Havenhurst south
Continue onto Calneva to Mulholland
Turn right and proceed to the dirt parking lot at Mulholland and Encino Hills Dr.
From the 405:
Take Mulholland west past Calneva to the dirt parking lot at Encino Hills Dr.
Griffith Park (NEW)
From the SFV, take the 101 Fwy East to the 134 Fwy.
Exit at Victory, turn right and then make a quick left onto Zoo Drive.
Proceed past the Zoo and golf course.
Turn right at the Ranger Station and proceed to the Merry-go-round parking area.
Take the 5 Freeway to Los Feliz Blvd (West) exit.
From Los Feliz make a right turn (North) onto Riverside Drive/Crystal Springs and go to the pony rides parking lot on the right (East)
- (about 1/4 mile from Los Feliz Blvd.)
From the SFV, take the 118 Fwy west thru Simi to Moorpark. Exit at Princeton. Turn right
(north) on Princeton and go to the end. Turn left on Campus Park and go 1-1/2 miles to the
end/trailhead.
From the SFV, take the 101 Fwy West to Lindero Canyon in Westlake Village.
Turn left off the freeway and go about 1.5 miles.
Meet in the parking lot on the right side of the street at The Landing.
LA Leggers - Santa Monica Senior Center
1450 Ocean Avenue, Santa Monica
Santa Monica Fwy (10), exit 4th Street.
Turn right on 4th, then left on Broadway.
To parking structures: turn right on 2nd St.
To Senior Center: turn right on Ocean Ave.

LA Roadrunners - Westminster Elementary School
From the 10 Fwy West, exit at 4th/5th Street in Santa Monica.
There are two lanes that exit the freeway so stay in the left one.
Turn left at the T-intersection at 4th Street.
Turn right on Pico Blvd.
Turn left on Main Street.
The school is just past Abbott-Kinney on the left side of the street.
The parking entrance is through the gate to the playground off of Main Street.
During the off-season, the Roadrunners meet informally at the end of Windward Ave in Venice.
Use the same directions above for Westminster School but don't park at the school.
Keep going past the school and turn right at Windward Ave.
Park where you can and meet on the boardwalk at the "stretching area" in front of the Venice Pavilion.
Take the Simi Freeway to Yosemite & exit

Trail head is 3/4 mile on the left
From the San Fernando Valley, take the 118 Freeway into the Simi Valley
Exit at First Street and go south approximately 3 miles
Park in the paved parking lot of the Long Canyon Trail Head
Take Topanga Canyon Blvd. south to PCH
Turn left on PCH and go to W. Sunset Blvd.
Turn left onto W. Sunset Blvd. and go to Los Liones Dr.
Turn left onto Los Liones Dr. and proceed to the Los Liones trailhead.
From the SFV, take the 101 Fwy West to just past the 23 Fwy in Thousand Oaks.
Exit the 101 at Moorpark Rd and turn left.
Follow Moorpark Rd around to the right.
Parking and the trailhead are at the corner of Moorpark Rd and Green Meadow Ave.
Take the 101 Fwy West from the SFV and exit at Las Virgenes Rd in Calabasas.
Turn left toward the beach.
Park at the corner of Las Virgenes and Mulholland Hwy.
Walk West on Mulholland to the gate on the left side of the street where you pick up the trail.
Take 210 Freeway to Lake View Terrace (exit 8)
Turn left at Foothill Blvd.
Turn left at Osborne St.
Continue on Little Tujunga Canyon Rd.
11700 Little Tujunga Canyon Rd. is on the right.
Take the 118 Fwy, exit Balboa Blvd.
Coming from the east, turn right; from the west turn left
Go north approximated 3 miles, turn left on Sesnon Blvd.
Meet at O'Melveny Park, 17300 Sesnon. (on right)
Take the 134 Fwy East to the 2 Fwy North in Glendale.
Exit the 2 Fwy at Mountain and turn left. Go past Glendale College (which will be on your right going downhill).
Turn right on Verdugo Rd.Stay in the left lane and take the fork to the left onto Canada Blvd.
Turn left on Colina Dr.
Follow Colina up the hill as it becomes Sunshine Dr.
Park below the gate on Sunshine Dr. (be aware of parking restrictions).
Walk to the trailhead about a ¼ mile past the gate on Sunshine Dr.
From the SFV, take the 101 Fwy west to Lindero Canyon in Westlake Village
Turn right off the freeway and proceed north past Kanan Rd., turn right onto Golden Eagle Dr.
Meet at the corner of Golden Eagle and Sterling Oaks Ct. Park your car away from the apartment building on Golden Eagle.
Please stay quiet as not to disturb the neighbors.
Exit the 210 Fwy at Roxford, head North, toward the foothills
Roxford will curve to the right. Follow Roxford just past Olive View ER
There will be a stop sign on that corner
On the right the street sign says Bledsoe, on the left it is Reagan Road.
(This is past Kennedy Road, the first entrance to the ER)
Turn left on Reagan Road and follow it up toward the foothills.
Go through the employee parking Lot J, then turn left and there is a small parking lot on the right
Park in the small lot
Exit the 101 Fwy at Winnetka Av in Woodland Hills
Turn North to Oxnard St.
Turn left on Oxnard St. and park on the north side of Oxnard just west of Winnetka.
Take the 5 Fwy. north, west on the 14 Fwy
Take the 14 Fwy. into Lancaster
Exit Avenue I (as in interval)
Turn left off the 14 Fwy. and go about 14 miles to the Preserve on the right.
Take 101 north from the Valley
Exit Las Posas, go left to PCH
Turn left (south) on PCH to La Jolla Canyon
Park (free) on the mountain side (not the beach side)
or
Take Topanga Canyon, Las Virgenes or Kanan to the PCH
Turn right (north) & proceed about 1 mile past Sycamore to La Jolla Canyon
Park on the street or in the pay parking area
Exit the 101 Fwy at Reseda Blvd in Reseda.
Turn South and go all the way up the hill.
Continue through the gate into Marvin Braude Mulholland Gateway Park.
Paid parking and the trailhead are at the very top of Reseda Blvd (but be aware that the gate closes at dusk).
Meet at the lower end of Reseda, below the yellow line where parking is free.
From the SFV, take the 118 Fwy West to Simi Valley.
Exit at Rocky Peak (the first exit past Topanga Cyn).
The trailhead is to the right, just off the freeway.
Either park at the trailhead or go left and park South of the freeway.
Take the 405 to Sunset
West on Sunset to Barrington
Left on Barrington to Montana
Right on Montana, past Bundy to Gretna Green
Turn right on Gretna Green and park
Meet at Gretna Green and Montana @ the Farmer's Market
Take Simi Fwy over hill to Simi and get off at Tapo Canyon.
Turn left and go south past LA Ave, across the Simi Wash and
turn right into the parking lot at the last stop sign before Tapo Canyon
turns into a private road into Brandies-Barzin.
Duffy's office is on the west side of the first Building: Fairchild Fasteners.
Take 405 Fwy north
Proceed onto the 5 Fwy
Exit onto the 210 Fwy toward Pasadena
Exit at the first offramp (Yarnell).
Turn right and immediately get over in the left lane to turn left on Foothill Blvd.
Go to Glenoaks Blvd, turn left and go under the freeway and turn left at the Stetson Ranch Park
Take the 405 Fwy to the Sunset Blvd exit in West LA.
Exit at Sunset and head West.
Turn right on Mandeville Canyon Rd.
Turn left up Westridge Rd.
Turn left on Bayliss Rd (be careful because Bayliss meets Westridge twice...
you want the first one).
Park on Bayliss just before Queensferry Rd (be aware of parking restrictions).
Walk down Queensferry past the wooden gate to the trailhead.
Take the 101 Fwy all the way to Camarillo.
Exit at Las Posas and go toward the beach.
Turn south on Pacific Coast Hwy.
Parking is available on the beach or canyon side of PCH.
Exit the 118 Fwy at Tampa Ave in Porter Ranch.
Turn North and go all the way to the end at Sesnon Blvd.
Park on Tampa.
Walk West on Sesnon to the trailhead just past the Gas Company driveway to the trail to the Olive Grove.
Take Topanga Canyon south of the 101 to Mulholland Dr.Exit the 118 Fwy at Topanga Canyon Blvd.
Turn north and then turn right at the T-intersection.
Park at the dirt patch on the right.
Turn left on Mulholland.
Turn right on Michelangelo.
Turn right on Mulholland Dr.
Park along the curb. Parking is
free.
Take the 405 Fwy to Wilshire Blvd.
West on Wilshire to San Vincente
Follow San Vincente to Ocean Ave.
Turn right and go one block to the Totem Pole on the left
Take the 101 Fwy and exit at Topanga Canyon Blvd in Woodland Hills.
Head South on Topanga Canyon Blvd toward the beach.
Go all the way until just before the town of Old Topanga.
Make a sharp left turn up Entrada Drive (there's a sign as you get close).
Park either in the first parking lot on the left or continue up Entrada and
follow the signs to the upper lot.
Be aware that you must pay to park in both of these lots.
From the SFV, take the 101 Fwy West to Kanan Rd in Agoura Hills.
Turn left at Kanan and head toward the beach.
Go through two tunnels (T-3 and T-2).
The trailhead is at a parking lot on the right side of Kanan, just before the third tunnel (T-1).
Exit the 101 Fwy at Tampa Ave in Tarzana.
Turn South to Ventura Blvd and make a quick left on Ventura Bl.
Turn right on Vanalden and go all the way to the top.
Turn right on Gleneagles Dr (the last street).
Turn left on Greenbriar Dr to the trailhead.
Park on Greenbriar (be aware of parking restrictions).
Take Highway 14
Exit Agua Dulce Canyon Rd.
Turn Left onto Agua Dulce Canyon Rd.
Bear right on Escondido Canyon Rd.
End Point: 10700 Escondido Canyon Rd.
Take the 101 Fwy West from the SFV and exit at Wendy Dr in Newbury Park.
Turn left and follow Wendy Dr until it ends.
Parking and the trailhead are at the T-intersection of Wendy Dr and Potrero Rd.
Take either the 118 freeway or the 101 freeway to the 23 freeway in Thousand Oaks.
Continue on the 23 freeway, exiting at Avenida de los Arboles.
Continue westbound on Arboles until it ends at the intersection of Big Sky Drive.
Park in the parking lot.
a) Topanga Cyn. Blvd. towards PCH. Turn left on PCH – south to Temescal Cyn.
b) South San Diego Freeway to Sunset Blvd. West on Sunset Blvd. to PCH. Left on PCH to Temescal Cyn.
c) South San Diego Freeway to Santa Monica Freeway (10). Santa Monica Freeway to PCH. North on PCH To Temescal.
Exit the 101 Fwy at Winnetka Av in Woodland Hills
Turn North and turn left onto Oxnard St.
Park on the north side of Oxnard as close to Winnetka as you can.
