I finally was allowed to go run down in Aliso Canyon. There were other curious folks scoping out the situation. It looks so stark but there is beauty in the nakedness. It reminds me to appreciate beauty that lies beneath all the surface stuff. The form, the textures, the elegant lines of the land are seen openly. The swathe of life unscathed against the burnt ashes that was once a vibrant bush. It reminds me of our own resilience and ability to survive. It also reminds me of our own vulnerabilities. It is the dance of life.
